School cont.

School in France is about the most complicated thing on the planet. We have tests we are told about only the night before they are supposed to occur, and then they never happen. Another strange thing is the required materials. All of the supplies to the left are used in French class and most are only for it. French actually consumes 18 hours of my 25 hour school week, math taking up 3, English taking up 2, and PE 2 hours. We also get out at different times on different days. Not like getting out early on Wednesday, much different. On Mondays we get out at 2:50, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00, and Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:35. Quite stressful.

  2. Well, all I can say is that I'm glad that I didn't go to school in France. For you, the advantage may be that you will learn French from Frenchmen and be able to really impress your teachers at Terman when you come home. Let mom help you learn some math while you are gone so that you will kick *&% (put appropriate word here) when you come home!

    Love,
    Your Dad.

  10. Wow, the school in France reminds me of what my parents & grandparents say schools in China are like- really hard and advanced- but it sounds like you don't do so much of the " American basics".
