The Volcano!

Maybe you have heard about the volcano that has erupted in Iceland recently, or maybe you haven't. If you haven't, you have now. I am now stuck in France. If I get on a plane, the ash will clog up the engines, the plane will fall toward the earth and, if I don't have a parachute, I will not be able to blog anymore. So, we have to go to Brittany by train tomorrow, which will take about three and a half hours. Yay! My mom bought me some Tintin (adventure comics) books for the ride, which I predict that I will enjoy greatly. They have the best crepes in Brittany, so I am thrilled, seeing as my favorite food is now a crepe. I like to hear from everyone, so please post comments!

  1. See if you can take the TGV train from Paris to Brittany. It goes like 250 kph and everything will whiz by in the window! I checked on line and there is a TGV from Paris to Brittany so tell your mom to buy tickets! And take pictures!

  2. Hey Lauren, you were right about the volcanic ash damaging airplane engines! Check this out:

So you better stay out of airplanes until those pesky volcanoes are finished (maybe they ate too much Nutella).

    Love,
    Your Dad

  4. Your notes are SO informative, and fun reading. With all the weird news about France and their strikes it's surprising that you could get the 3 hour train ride.

Are you learning French? (Grandpas always ask lousy questions.)

    Love

Stay put and enjoy the crepes. The Swansons rave about Brittany. Mrs Swansons granny has a house there. It looks beautiful. Take lots of pictures. xoMrs.J
