I finally arrived in France after a eleven hour flight from SF, landing about an hour away from our apartment building. It is really surprising; there's a lot of English in France, so it is less nerve racking. My mom and I took a cab to our new home. You would not believe how the French drive. On the way, we passed by the "Arc de Triomphe", and saw the Eiffel Tower (which is only about two blocks away from our place). We own the fourth floor of the building we are staying at, and it is pretty nice, and it has a lot of closet space. We had a HUGE bag of stuff, so I had to stuff my mom and the bag into the tiny elevator so we could get the bag up. The elevator is so small, we had to take turns going up, and when I went, I moved one floor to high. It was really funny. It is raining, but I have to go to the supermarket with my mom anyways. I'll blog again tomorrow! -L

Lauren, So glad to hear that you arrived and like your apartment. I remember those tiny elevators, and your story reminds me of when Jeff, Nathan, Myra, and I "moved" (for 4 months) to Jerusalem. After 11 hours we, too, had to fit one person at a time with one bag at a time in the elevator to our apartment. I bet you'll sleep well tonight!

An 11 hour flight wow I can barely last a 6 hour flight to the East Coast. Are you jet lagged? I hope you enjoy the rest of your visit to France. I wish I was there.
